Frequently Asked Questions Regarding Pricing

Who owns the customer relationship?
Once you have been awarded work - you do. You contract directly with the buyer for production.

What does MachiningPartner.com charge commissions on?
MachiningPartner receives commissions on all work awarded through the marketplace – for the life of the buyer-vendor relationship. For Instance: A buyer posts a RAQ on MachiningPartner.com and awards the project to your company. The original RFQ is for 200 pieces. Commissions are charged for that and any subsequent order from that buyer for that part at 5%. So if the buyer re-orders the future commissions still apply.

When does MachiningPartner.com bill commissions?
For all orders under $50,000 in value MachiningPartner.com bills on the date the Purchase Order or Contract is awarded. Our standard billing terms are Net 30 days. For most jobs these terms enable you to produce, deliver and bill the customer.

For projects in excess of $50,000 and/or have multiple shipments MachiningPartner.com will work with the supplier to develop a common sense billing schedule.

Can I grow my relationship with the buyer?
Once you have been awarded work by a buyer you get complete marketing rights.
You receive all the customer information you need to cultivate the lifetime value.

Are commissions charged on any other work the buyer awards to my company?
Commissions are charged on all orders from the buyer including items posted directly on the marketplace and awarded to you ,supplier, or through offline communication between the buyer and you for different parts, however the commission for any work not directly received from online RAQ is commissioned at 3%. For all re-orders of the original part,including part revisions, original commission of 5% applies.
